You're right Mari. I don't think our sexuality has anything to do with age. It can actually be better as we age (like fine wine!)

If we let too much "boring" rountine set into our everyday lives, what's there to look forward to?

And rountine sex, is another "heart attack" waiting to happen! Who wants the same time, the same place and the same position every time?

Glad to hear you enjoyed browsing through my website. We can all learn a few new tricks!

Karen, you are running a pretty hot website there.

I spent quite a bit of time browsing around. Thank you for remind us that the most erotic part of our bodies is our brain, of course.

I think a lot of the reason that many older people lose the spark has nothing to do with getting a bit older - but just quitting a lot of the things we used to love - and not just in the bedroom. A little exercise, some social time, etc. can help everywhere.

People get off the couch - even if it is just to go to the bedroom.

Let's get the ball rolling on the subject of Sex. Here's a little taste of what's to come. This article was recently posted on over50web.net. This article is getting huge attention on my website http://www.babyboomer-lifes-pl.....asures.com. What can I say ... I have a passion for passion!

It time to bust the myth .... Sex over 50 doesn't happen. Far be it from the truth!

Looked at the magazines lately? Apparently, enjoying sex is only for the young people, with perfect bodies, and sex appeal!

Talk about clueless!!

I recently read an article, which of course grabbed my attention.

Sex for adults over 50 was described as being "cute and somewhat gross, if its happening at all!!

Would someone please inform these people, that sexuality doesn't come with an expiration date!

As you see, these people are totally misinformed, regarding the relationships that we ALL want, or are having once we reach the half century mark.

By the sheer number of Boomers visiting my site, I can tell you, there is still a lot of hanky panky going on!

The Incredible Benefits Of Sex Over 50:

Slowing Down Is Sensual -

You always knew that women took a lot longer than men to “get our engines going”, but as we age, it seems that BOTH men and women are taking longer to get their libido’s in high gear.

The benefit to this …… more time for foreplay!!!

WITH EXPERIENCE COMES UNKNOWN PLEASURES ……

With age, comes experience. There is nothing like knowing how to seduce your partner.

You should become a student of your partner. Learn what he/she enjoys and what brings pleasure!

This in return brings closer intimacy within your relationship.

MORE TIME FOR FOREPLAY …..

We are well past the stage of kids walking in on us, just while things are heating up.

With nobody home, but the two of you, this can mean, foreplay can start well before the bedroom!

This gives you both the time needed, to relax and look forward to lovemaking.

Gambling Addiction in Seniors Over 65

We got an email with a request to post details of this study for our readers. We will also mirror this request on Over50Web.net

From Connie:

If anyone is happy to be involved in this study, they can either ring me at 0412 848 958, or email me at ctir@unimelb.edu.au (NB: They do not have to provide me with their real names - just real phone numbers!) As a token of appreciation for their time, each participant will be given a $20 Coles/Myer gift card.

Here is more information on the reasons for the study.

The aim of the study is to build a theory on the pathways that lead to later life gambling issues. Not much is understood about older adults and gambling, and even less is understood about late-onset gambling issues. One thing that is very clear, is that this problem is very much hidden among older adults, because there is a lot of stigma surrounding it. Understandably, many older adults feel very ashamed & embarrassed about this issue. Consequently, many often bottle up the problems inside. This may make them end up feeling even more lonely.

I think most healthy people find that soy milk can be a healthy addition to a diet, especially if it is replacing some less healthy food. You are right. It is full of fiber and protein, which can help reduce cravings too.

Some studies suggest that processed soy milk is high in estrogen too, so if you are low, it may provide some of the other benefits you suggest.

I do get reports from some people who suggest soy makes them gain weight, and they blame the hormones too.

I think we all react differently to different food. If it works for you, I cannot see any reason why a couple of glasses a day would do any harm.

My daughter actually turned me on to soy milk, and we really like chocolate! You can buy different varieties, but they tend to range from 100 calories - 150 calories a glass.

I find a glass very filling, and I know it is high in fiber and protein. So I reallly feel like it is helping me control my appetite for other stuff that isn't so healthy. But I also believe I feel a bit "friskier" if you know what I mean.

Does anybody else have any experience with adding a couple of glasses of soy milk to their diet every day? Do you feel as if it has helped you reduce cravings, increase energy, and even get back some pre-menopausal "friskiness"?
